معرفی
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Raisch holds the chair of Control Systems at the Technical University of Berlin's Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He received his Dr.-Ing. in Chemical Engineering from Stuttgart University, followed by postdoctoral research at the University of Toronto and a DFG Fellowship for his habilitation in control theory (completed 1998). Previously led research groups at Max-Planck-Institut für Dynamik komplexer technischer Systeme (2002) and Otto-von-Guericke Universität Magdeburg.
Research focuses on discrete event systems, model predictive control, and hybrid systems with applications in renewable energy, manufacturing, and networked systems. Key methodologies include max-plus algebra, optimization, and distributed control frameworks.
Publication trends show strong emphasis on:
- Theoretical foundations of timed/discrete event systems
- Control applications in energy systems (wind farms, microgrids)
- Distributed algorithms for networked systems
- Algebraic methods in control
Honors include DFG Fellowship and editorial roles for Automatica, IEEE TAC, and Discrete Event Dynamic Systems. Leadership positions: Chair of IFAC Technical Committee on Discrete Event Systems (2017-2020), German representative in European Control Association (2007-2013).
Leads the Control Systems group investigating real-world applications including wind farm optimization, manufacturing scheduling, and networked control protocols. Current projects involve over-the-air federated learning, microgrid cooperation, and robust power tracking.
