Izzy Riley is a Senior Lecturer and Programme Manager in the Department of Veterinary Nursing at Hartpury University, where she has been teaching since 2016. She holds a BSc (Hons) and FdSc in Equine Veterinary Nursing Science from the University of the West of England and an MRes in Animal Behaviour and Welfare from Hartpury University. She also completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).

Her research focuses on animal behaviour in veterinary settings, particularly fear-free practices and improving patient and owner support.
