معرفی
Izzuddin Bin Mohd Aris is an Assistant Professor of Population Medicine at Harvard Medical School, based at the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. His research focuses on the intersection of environmental exposures, neighborhood characteristics, and life course epidemiology in relation to cardiovascular health, obesity, and child development.
Dr. Aris completed his BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences (2010) and PhD in Epidemiology (2015), both at the National University of Singapore. He then pursued postdoctoral training in Epidemiology at the Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (2017) and Harvard Medical School (2019).
His research interests span epidemiology, cardiovascular health across the lifespan, environmental health impacts on child development, neighborhood effects on health outcomes, and life course approaches to understanding obesity and metabolic disorders. His work often employs large cohort studies, including the Environmental Influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) program and Project Viva, to investigate how early life exposures shape health trajectories.
Analysis of Dr. Aris's recent publications reveals a strong focus on neighborhood effects on health, cardiovascular metrics using the American Heart Association's Life's Essential 8 framework, environmental exposures (including air pollution, greenspace, and chemical exposures), and longitudinal health trajectories from childhood through adulthood. His work frequently examines health disparities and the social determinants of health.
