معرفی
Izabela Todorovski is a Research Fellow in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, affiliated with the Transcription, RNA, and Gene Medicine Program. She conducts research in the Svejstrup Group, which investigates molecular mechanisms of transcription and its interface with DNA replication and repair processes.
Her research focuses on transcriptional regulation, RNA biology, and gene expression mechanisms, with specific expertise in PAF1C complex functions, CDK12/13 kinase activation, CTD phosphorylation dynamics, and transcript elongation control. This work bridges molecular biology and cellular medicine, exploring how transcriptional processes intersect with DNA repair pathways to maintain genomic integrity.
Her 2025 Molecular Cell publication demonstrates the critical role of PAF1C-mediated kinase activation in transcription regulation, representing current work in molecular genetics with implications for understanding transcriptional dysregulation in disease contexts.
Dr. Todorovski is an active member of the Svejstrup Group research team, contributing to investigations of transcription mechanisms and their cellular coordination with other DNA-related processes.
