Iwona Rotter

Iwona Rotter is a Professor at the Department of Medical Rehabilitation and Clinical Physiotherapy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin. She holds a Doctorate (2001) and specializes in health sciences with a focus on biomarker discovery, chronic disease management, and rehabilitation interventions. Her work spans interdisciplinary areas including gerontology, endocrine disorders, and clinical physiology.

Research interests include the interplay between metabolic disorders, inflammation, and bone health in aging populations; the role of cytokines and bioelements in disease progression; and the application of virtual reality in medical rehabilitation. Notable studies address post-COVID-19 rehabilitation, endometrial cancer biomarkers, and the impact of exercise on haemodialysis patients.

With over 317 publications and 7 promoted theses, her contributions emphasize translational research bridging clinical practice and molecular diagnostics. Collaborations focus on multidisciplinary teams addressing public health challenges such as long-term post-infectious outcomes and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
