Ivy Kagan Bierman is a Lecturer and Director of the Entertainment Track in the Graduate Program in Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law at the University of Miami School of Law. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law and Pritzker Northwestern School of Law. Her practice focuses on entertainment labor law, representing production companies, networks, and talent in guild negotiations (DGA, SAG-AFTRA, WGA) and workplace compliance. She advises on AI, animation, and digital media agreements and conducts workplace training on harassment and cultural assessments.
Education: J.D., Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law (cum laude); B.A., Duke University (magna cum laude).
Certifications: Admitted to California bars and U.S. Courts (Central District of California, Ninth Circuit).
Affiliations: Former Co-Founder of GreenLight Women; Member of Time’s Up Legal Committee (Sexual Harassment & Gender Parity); Board Member, Hollywood Radio and Television Society. She has been honored as a 'Top Entertainment Lawyer' and 'Power Lawyer'屡次.
Her recent work includes negotiating interim agreements during guild strikes, advising AI firms on union interactions, and leading cultural assessments for entertainment companies. She speaks frequently at industry conferences like the University of Miami Global Entertainment & Sports Law Conference and the Northwestern Generative AI+Entertainment Conference.
