Iveta Sabová

Assoc. Prof. Iveta Sabová holds the position of Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Piano Collaboration at the Faculty of Music and Dance (HTF) within the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. She concurrently teaches at the Bratislava Conservatory. Her primary affiliations include the Department of Piano Collaboration and Department of Chamber Music.

Education: She studied piano at the Conservatory in Kroměříž and the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava under doc. Ivan Palovič, completing her doctoral studies under Prof. Daniela Varínská. Her artistic career includes performances with the Košice State Philharmonic and Žilina State Chamber Orchestra, focusing on chamber music collaborations with prominent Slovak soloists. She has performed across Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Austria, Italy, Malta, and the USA.

Research & Artistic Activities: Sabová specializes in chamber music interpretation, having participated in international festivals such as Musica arvenzis, Schola arvenzis, and the Pekná hudba Festival. She collaborates with the Chamber Choir of the Bratislava Conservatory, including US concert tours. Her pedagogical work emphasizes training pianists for collaborative roles, with students achieving success in domestic and international competitions like the Louis Spohr Wetbewerb and Mozart Wetbewerb.

Teaching & Mentorship: She regularly leads masterclasses at institutions like the Summer Academy at VŠMU and the International Master Internet Academy Lessa in Italy. Her instructional approach bridges performance excellence with collaborative artistry.
