Ivar Berg

Professor Ivar Berg is a leading scholar in Scandinavian linguistics at NTNU's Department of Language and Literature. His research focuses on the history of Norwegian and related languages over the past 1,500 years, encompassing both structural linguistic changes and sociolinguistic shifts. He teaches courses on modern Norwegian dialects and grammar, including NORX2200 (Old Norse/Runology) and NORD1106 (Dialectology and Language History).
