Ivanka Vasilevska is a Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of St. Cyril and Methodius, Skopje. She is affiliated with the Department of History of Law and teaches subjects spanning legal history, European history, and Balkan studies.
Her research interests include:
- Legal History: State and legal history of Macedonia and the Balkan states.
- European History: Modern European history, the idea of European integration, and Macedonian history from the 19th to 20th century.
- Balkan Studies: Political history, societies, and legal traditions of the Balkans.
- Ottoman Empire: Status of non-Muslims in Ottoman society and customary law.
- Political Theory: Feminist theories of politics and religious movements in Southeast Europe.
