Dr. Ivana Luknar serves as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Project and Innovation Management, bringing expertise in political science and sociology with extensive cross-disciplinary research in technology-society interactions. Her academic foundation combines sociological theory with security policy analysis.
Education:
- Outstanding degree in Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade
- Doctorate in Political Science, Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade (Dissertation: "Fight against cyberterrorism in strategic documents of the Republic of Serbia")
Her research critically examines how modern information and communication technologies (ICT) and artificial intelligence reshape societal structures, with particular focus on ethical implications, cyber terrorism defense strategies, and policy frameworks. She investigates the tension between technological advancement and human rights, analyzing socio-political disruptions through empirical studies of national security documents and international relations. Her work bridges criminology, political science, and technology ethics to address emerging security challenges in digital governance.

Dr. Luknar has secured significant project funding including the "Small Graduation - Big Heart" initiative (2009) and the EU-Council of Europe "Regional Support for Inclusive Education" project (2014) administered by Italy's Ministry of Education. She implemented EU-standard inclusive policies at Serbia's Office for Human and Minority Rights, developing child protection frameworks and national minority rights programs. As a Ceepus Erasmus research fellow at University of Ljubljana (2020), she analyzed China-West relations while contributing to criminology education at Niš College of Criminology and Security through courses on high-tech crime and human trafficking.
