Ivana Dimitrova is an Assistant Professor with a joint appointment in the Physics and Electrical and Computer Engineering departments at Northeastern University. Her research focuses on quantum networking and quantum computing using atoms in optical tweezer arrays, cavity QED, and many-body states.

Her work bridges quantum information science, atomic physics, and nanoscale device engineering. Publications highlight advancements in entanglement control, spin transport, and quantum simulation with ultracold atoms. Recent studies explore cavity-mediated quantum operations and nanophotonic interfaces for optical tweezers.
She is affiliated with the Quantum Materials and Sensing Institute (QMSI) and contributes to interdisciplinary research in electromagnetics, plasma, optics, and microsystems. In public outreach, she explained static electricity phenomena in winter conditions.
