Ivana Čapeta Rakić is an Associate Professor at the Department of Art History, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Split. She specializes in late medieval and early modern art with a focus on iconography, iconology, and Christian-Muslim relations in the Adriatic and Mediterranean regions.
- Assistant Professor (2016-2021), Scientific Associate (2011-2016), and Assistant (2007-2011) at University of Split
- Doctorate in Art History (University of Zagreb, 2011) with dissertation on Works from the Santa Croce Workshop on the Eastern Coast of the Adriatic
- Rotary Club Split scholarship recipient for excellence in humanities
Her research spans Islamic art, Venetian Renaissance, visual narratives, and cultural heritage. She has participated in 31 international conferences and co-edited publications with Brepols. Awards include the University of Split Faculty of Philosophy Award (2021) and the Dean’s Award during studies. She collaborates with institutions like the International Institute for Conservation and Renaissance Society of America.
Current projects include COST CA23137 (Print Culture and Public Spheres) and COST CA23143 (Participation through Prayer). She co-organizes the Kolosijek H6 program and has lectured at universities in Ljubljana, Madrid, and Granada.
