Ivan Tot

Ivan Tot, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Business Law, University of Zagreb Faculty of Economics and Business, serving as Department Head since 2022. He specializes in Law of Obligations, Comparative Contract Law, Commercial Law, and Banking Law.

• Master’s in Law (2007), Postgraduate Specialist in EU Legal-Economic Framework (2012), and Doctorate in Corporate/Commercial Law (2016) from University of Zagreb
• Teaches Commercial Law, European Contract Law, and Banking Law in integrated undergraduate-graduate programs
• Coordinator of the popular-scientific lecture series 'Law on Wednesdays'
• External associate in Commercial/Labour Law at University of Zagreb Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

His research focuses on comparative analysis of civil law systems, EU private law harmonization, and banking contract law. Key publications include edited volumes on Croatian law of obligations, comparative studies on digital contract law, and analyses of late payment regulations in EU contexts.
