Ivan Grujić is an Associate Professor in the Department of Motor Vehicles and Motors at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac. His research focuses on automotive engineering, brake systems optimization, internal combustion engines, and vehicle safety. He holds a position in the Chair of Motor Vehicles and Engines and has been actively involved in academic leadership since February 2022.
Key research interests include thermal management of engine components, aerodynamic design improvements, and environmental impacts of transportation. His work often integrates numerical simulations with experimental validation to address challenges in friction materials, combustion efficiency, and safety standards. Notable areas include brake wear reduction, alternative fuel applications, and ergonomics in agricultural machinery.
Recent studies emphasize trends in electric vehicle design, hydrogen injection effects on engines, and non-exhaust emissions from brake wear. He is affiliated with the SciDAR repository for academic publications and coordinates research in laboratories focused on tribology, thermal analysis, and vehicle dynamics.
His academic contributions span over 50 peer-reviewed articles, with a focus on interdisciplinary approaches to solving transportation engineering challenges. Grants and collaborations are tied to EU projects addressing sustainable mobility and safety innovations.
