معرفی
Ivan Bazarov is a Professor in the Department of Physics at Cornell University, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on accelerator physics, photocathodes, and beam dynamics, with applications in ultrafast imaging and particle physics. His group pushes state-of-the-art photocathode technology and computational modeling of beam dynamics.
Research Focus: Production of high-brightness electron beams, photocathode R&D, ultrafast electron diffraction, and beam dynamics controls. Key applications include molecular imaging and optimization methods for accelerators.
Honors: Recognized with the 2010 DOE Early Career Award and 2015 IEEE Particle Accelerator Science and Technology Award.
Advising: Mentors graduate students including Sam Levenson and leads research on NSF and DoE grants. Operates multiple labs including a 200-CPU cluster for beam dynamics simulations.
