Ivan Agullo

Ivan Agullo is a Professor of Physics in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at Louisiana State University (LSU), part of the College of Science. He holds memberships in the Hearne Institute for Theoretical Physics, the Quantum Science and Technology group, and the Theoretical and Experimental General Relativity group at LSU. His research focuses on gravitational physics, quantum information, and quantum technologies, spanning topics like quantum field theory in curved spacetimes, relativistic quantum information, cosmology, black hole physics, and gravitational waves. Agullo earned his Ph.D. in 2009 from the University of Valencia.

Research interests include exploring quantum aspects of spacetime, such as entanglement in quantum field theories, gravitational wave signatures of quantum gravity, and cosmological predictions from loop quantum cosmology. His work also addresses black hole radiance, cosmic microwave background anomalies, and quantum technologies for global time distribution via satellite systems. Recent studies involve analog gravity systems and photon production in chiral astrophysical environments.

Publications highlight contributions to quantum gravity phenomenology, non-Gaussianity in cosmology, and gauge symmetries in curved spacetimes. Agullo’s work bridges theoretical frameworks with observational implications, aiming to connect quantum gravity predictions to astrophysical observations.
