Italo Colantone is Associate Professor of Economics in Bocconi University's Department of Social and Political Sciences, where he serves as Director of the Bachelor in International Politics and Government (BIG) program. As Research Fellow at BAFFI CAREFIN and CESifo, his work examines globalization impacts, economic nationalism, and labor market transformations.
His publications analyze trade competition effects on voting behavior, robotization impacts on political preferences, and economic determinants of mental distress. Recent research explores Brexit's economic origins, industrial robot adoption consequences, and globalization backlash mechanisms across Western Europe.
