Issouf Dosso

Issouf Dosso is a PhD Researcher at the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies (BCDSS), University of Bonn, Germany, since 2025, supervised by Prof. Dr. Claudia Jarzebowski. His research examines the socio-economic aftermath of French abolition of indigenous slavery in Northwestern Côte d'Ivoire.

The research bridges African history, postcolonial studies, and memory theory through archival and ethnographic lenses.

As part of BCDSS's interdisciplinary framework, Dosso contributes to global scholarship on dependency systems while examining long-term consequences of emancipation in West Africa.
