Ismael Fajardo is an Adjunct Professor in the College of Education at the University of Washington. He also serves as the lead researcher and evaluator at the City of Seattle Department of Education and Early Learning. His work focuses on the P-20 STEM pipeline for underserved student populations, emphasizing equitable education environments through quantitative and qualitative research.
- Education: PhD and M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, Policy, and Organizations from the University of Washington; B.A. in Foreign Languages, Cultures, and Literature from Washington State University; A.A. from Spokane Falls Community College.
- Research Interests: Educational Policy, Higher Education, Immigration and Schooling, Quantitative Research Methods, STEM pipeline equity, postsecondary transitions, retention, and achievement.
- Projects: Formerly led the Brotherhood Initiative and Equitable Parent-School Collaboration projects at the University of Washington.
At the College of Education, Dr. Fajardo teaches assessment and evaluation in higher education, applying his expertise to local, state, and national policy recommendations. Born in the Yakima Valley of Washington State, he is a proud graduate of Grandview High School.
