Ishari Amarasinghe

Ishari Amarasinghe is a Lecturer at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), Barcelona, with expertise in educational technology and learning analytics. She holds a Ph.D. in Information and Communication Technologies (with Summa Cum Laude and International Mention) and a Master’s in Intelligent Interactive Systems. Her research focuses on data-driven approaches in hybrid learning environments, teacher orchestration, and generative AI ethics in education. She has contributed to EU-funded projects and serves on editorial boards and conference program committees (e.g., Computers & Education, ISLS, ECTEL).

She has published widely in journals like Computers & Education and BJET, and conferences such as ISLS and IEEE TLT. Her 2024 work focuses on hybrid learning orchestration and AI ethics. She has also organized workshops on topics like ‘Actionable Learning Analytics’ and ‘Orchestrating Hybrid Learning Scenarios’.
