Isaiah Smith, M.Sc, is a researcher at the Chair of Paleoenvironment under Prof. Dr. Kießling at the GeoCenter Northern Bavaria, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany.
- Education: MSc in Geosciences (Paleobiology) from FAU (2020-2022); BS in Geological Sciences and BA in Human Biology from the University of Southern California (2016-2020).
Research Interests focus on:
- Quantitative approaches to biogeography in deep time
- Evolution of marine ecosystems under ecological stressors
- Climate change-induced extinction events
His work bridges paleontological data with ecological modeling to understand long-term environmental transformations.
