Isabelle Lallemand

Isabelle Lallemand is a Lecturer in the Languages and Cultures department at IMT Didalang, where she serves as deputy head of the intercultural research group. With over 30 years of experience in higher education, she specializes in French as a Foreign/Second Language (FLES), intercultural competence, and international student integration. Her work at Télécom Paris and INALCO includes developing innovative pedagogical frameworks for plurilingual tandem learning and coordinating institutional mobility programs.

Her research focuses on the internationalization of higher education, student mobility, and intercultural mediation. She has pioneered e-tandem platforms like SpeakShake and designed curricula for academic French. Key publication themes include language-teaching technology (TICE), intercultural photography projects, and frameworks for internationalizing engineering education. She collaborates with ParisTech institutions and the UPLEGESS consortium.

Notable projects include coordinating FLE/FLES courses for non-francophone staff and students at IMT Didalang, co-developing intercultural training for administrative personnel, and leading the Intercultural group to advance 'internationalization at home.' Her pedagogical innovations bridge language education with institutional strategies for global engagement.
