Isabelle KUSTOSZ

Isabelle KUSTOSZ is a Maître de conférences (Associate Professor) at IAE Valenciennes, part of the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF), where she has been affiliated since 2016. She holds the qualification Habilitée à diriger des recherches (HDR) and serves in various leadership roles including coordination of ARI REGVIL research initiative, membership in the LARSH laboratory council, representation in the UPHF doctoral school for Economics and Management, and national representation in the SHS pole of the UPHF doctoral school. At the national level, she serves as General Secretary of ARIMHE (Association pour la recherche interdisciplinaire sur le management des entreprises) and as an ANR expert.

She employs prospective methodologies to analyze territorial development and governance transformations, with particular attention to collaborative approaches in urban regeneration and ecological transition.

Her recent publications reveal a clear trajectory toward examining collaborative governance models in territorial development, with increasing focus on environmental ethics, urban regeneration, and inclusive mobility. Her work bridges theoretical frameworks of institutionalism with practical policy applications, particularly examining how prospective methods can enhance public management. A distinctive feature of her scholarship is the integration of territorial knowledge systems with governance structures, revealing how local actors co-construct policy solutions that address complex 'wicked problems' in urban contexts.
