Isabelle Gagne serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Victoria's Department of Physics and Astronomy and conducts research at BC Cancer - Victoria. She holds a PhD in Medical Physics from the University of Alberta and FCCPM certification.
Her research focuses on improving prostate cancer radiotherapy through SpaceOAR gel applications to minimize rectal toxicities and developing deep learning techniques for enhanced image guidance. Clinical projects emphasize quality improvement in radiotherapy planning and delivery.
Current graduate students include Jason Crawford (MSc), Evan Maynard (MSc), Samantha Lloyd (PhD), and Owen Paetkau (MSc). Her publication record demonstrates expertise in Monte Carlo modeling, VMAT verification, and dosimetry validation.
