Professor Isabelle Dolezalek is affiliated with the Technical University of Berlin's Institute for Art History and Historical Urbanism. Her research focuses on medieval art and transcultural exchange processes in Europe and the Islamic world.
- Specializes in power representation through art, object biographies, and medieval reception
- Expert in museum history and education, particularly medieval textiles and treasure art
- Cooperates with Stralsund Museum on Baltic Sea Region heritage projects
Current projects include Viking Gold – Treasure Hoards as Translocal Heritage in the Baltic Sea Region (2021–2025) funded by BMBF, and Premodern Provenance (2025–2027) supported by the DFG Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Prize.
