Isabelle Brianso is a Lecturer in Information and Communication Sciences at Avignon Université, affiliated with the Norbert Elias Center (UMR 8562). Her research focuses on heritage processes in international contexts, with a specialization in UNESCO-labeled heritage categories like World Heritage Sites and Cultural Routes. She has expanded her work to include museums and exhibitions in Provence and Europe. Recent publications include a co-authored book analyzing residents' relationships with UNESCO heritage sites, based on case studies in France, Chile, and Italy.
Her career includes a postdoctoral Marie Curie Fellowship at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, fieldwork in Kosovo and Cambodia (Angkor Wat), and collaboration with European institutions like the Council of Europe.
