Isabel Tasker

Isabel Tasker is an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of New England's School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, with over three decades of experience teaching Mandarin across diverse educational contexts. Her scholarly work focuses on Chinese pedagogy, applied linguistics, and distance education, particularly examining social, affective, and conceptual dimensions of long-term language learning.

As Coordinator of Languages and Cultures, she oversees bachelor's programs in Languages and International Business. Research investigates temporal patterns in language acquisition, innovative peer learning models like tandem translation, and curriculum development for evolving learning environments.
