Isabel Nadal Amengual

Isabel Nadal Amengual is a predoctoral researcher at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and a doctoral candidate in the Sociology and Anthropology program at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). She teaches courses in Social Work and Labor Relations at UIB's Faculty of Philosophy and Social Work.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Barcelona (2016) and a Master's in Anthropological Research and Applications from the National University of Distance Education (2023). She is a member of the research group Inequalities, Gender and Public Policies at UIB.

Dr. Nadal Amengual's research focuses on urban studies, collective memory, social and alternative movements, self-management, resistance strategies, and gender/sexuality studies. Her work examines how these elements intersect in contemporary social dynamics, particularly within urban contexts. She approaches these topics through both academic research and practical engagement with social movements.

Since 2020, she has worked as a technician at the Social Observatory of the Balearic Islands (OSIB-UIB), where she has co-authored and co-coordinated numerous studies and publications. Beyond academia, she co-authored the documentary 'La terra per a qui la balla' (2023) and serves on the committee of Nosaltres Magazine.
