Isabel García Izquierdo

Isabel García Izquierdo is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Sciences and Arts of the University of Ávila, affiliated with the BIOMICROB Microbial Biotechnology research group.

She obtained her PhD in 2023 from the University of Salamanca with the thesis titled The microbiota of vineyards in Castilla y León as a natural capital generator of ecosystem services, supervised by Dr. Mercedes Tamame González, Dr. Fernando Rodríguez López, and Dr. Víctor Javier Colino Rabanal.

Her research focuses on microbial biotechnology applications in environmental and agricultural contexts, particularly leveraging microbiota for sustainable ecosystem services in viticulture.
