Dr. Isabel Compes serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Cologne since 2010, specializing in discourse analysis, grammaticalization, and endangered language documentation. Her research focuses on African and Austronesian languages with fieldwork expertise in Samoan, Zaghawa, and Beria dialects.
Her primary research interests include:
