Iryna Protsak is a Research Fellow in the Department of Functional Materials and Catalysis at the University of Vienna's Faculty of Chemistry. She holds a PhD in Physics and Chemistry of Surfaces from the Chuiko Institute of Surface Chemistry (NASU, Kyiv, 2016) and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Glasgow (UK), Chuiko Institute, and Zhejiang University of Technology (China). Her research focuses on developing porous nanomaterials for selective sorbents targeting Critical Raw Materials (CRMs), advancing applications in water treatment and resource recovery. Key contributions align with UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing environmental sustainability and resource efficiency.
