Iris Berryhill

Iris Berryhill serves as an Assistant Professor in the Undergraduate Programs department at the Ron and Kathy Assaf College of Nursing, Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale/Davie campus.

She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chamberlain College of Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Phoenix, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Nova Southeastern University.

With twenty years of clinical experience in medical surgical nursing, Dr. Berryhill's research centers on patient safety innovations, particularly in-hospital fall prevention for elderly patients (65+). Her presented study on this topic demonstrates her commitment to evidence-based clinical improvements. She actively bridges research with community engagement through Alzheimer’s Foundation fundraising and initiatives supporting underprivileged populations.

As an educator, she teaches nursing courses to university students and hospital staff while contributing to the College of Nursing's Quality Improvement Team, where she focuses on enhancing educational standards and clinical safety protocols.
