Irini Koutsoyiannakis

Irini Koutsoyiannakis is a Lecturer and Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) member at the Technical University of Crete, affiliated with the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Environmental Engineering. She has a strong educational background in environmental and geological sciences, with advanced degrees from prestigious institutions.

• 2004: M.Sc. in Quality Control & Environmental Management from Technical University of Crete
• 2000: M.Sc. in Environmental Management from Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (MAICh)
• 1999: B.Sc. in Geology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Her research and teaching focus on environmental geology and soil mechanics, with direct involvement in courses such as Environmental Geology, Engineering Mechanics - Statics, Strength of Materials, Structural Analysis, and Seismology and Earthquake Code. She also supports activities in the Computational Dynamics and Energy laboratory, ensuring students gain practical experience in these critical engineering disciplines.
