Irina Savu Cristea is a PhD candidate and scientific staff member at the Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, Freie Universität Berlin. She is affiliated with the VW Project 'MoRePPaR' (Moral Re-Positioning and Relationality) under Prof. Dr. Hansjörg Dilger, focusing on emotional regimes and self-making practices among young women in North Bali. Her work bridges social, psychological, and feminist anthropologies, with fieldwork conducted in Romania, Germany, and Indonesia.
Her research explores the intersection of gendered emotional norms, personhood, and global-local identity politics. She is certified in Action Reflection Learning® methodology and collaborates with synergic teacher-student-parent teams in Romanian high schools. Her expertise includes collaborative methodologies and analysis of emotional governance in societal contexts.
