Irina Lonean serves as an Associate Professor at the Center for Communication and Public Relations (CCPR) of the National School of Political Science and Public Administration (SNSPA) in Bucharest, Romania. With interdisciplinary expertise spanning law and political science, she bridges academic theory with practical policy implementation through extensive field experience in governmental and non-governmental sectors.

Dr. Lonean's research centers on translating policies into real-world practices, with over 15 years specializing in youth inclusion frameworks. Her work critically examines monitoring and evaluation systems across sectors including formal/non-formal education, employment, social inclusion, and anti-corruption mechanisms. Drawing from evaluations conducted for the Romanian government, UNICEF Romania, and Transparency International, she analyzes how governance structures impact vulnerable populations through participatory approaches and integrity safeguards.
At CCPR, she teaches graduate courses in Design and Implementation of EU-funded projects and Monitoring and Performance Indicators, integrating her 12 years of NGO and think-tank experience to develop evidence-based policy solutions.
