Irene Morrison-Moncure is Adjunct Faculty at NYU's Gallatin School, teaching classical literature with focus on power dynamics in ancient texts. Her research examines emotion and political themes in Roman epics, particularly Lucan's 'Bellum Civile'.
Prior to NYU, she taught Classics at Hunter College and mentors students through programs increasing diversity in academia. She serves on the board of Ascanius: The Youth Classics Institute.
