Irene Martin Fores is a Researcher and Data Synthesis Officer at the School of Biological Sciences, University of Adelaide (part of the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology). Her expertise spans invasion ecology, community ecology, global change, and biodiversity patterns. She holds a PhD in Ecology and Environment from Complutense University of Madrid (2015), preceded by a first-class MSc in Biological Sciences. Her career includes roles at Rey Juan Carlos University and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) before joining the University of Adelaide in 2020.
