Irene Breum Müller

Irene Breum Müller serves as Head of Section at the Section of Forensic Chemistry within the Department of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen. She manages alcohol analysis, toxicology analysis, and drugs analysis operations for the department.

Education:

• 1994: Ph.D. in Organic Analytical Chemistry

Müller's research focuses on forensic toxicology and analytical chemistry applied to forensic medicine. Her expertise spans the analytical chemistry of drugs and drugs of abuse, with specialization in organic analytical chemistry. She has developed advanced methodologies for detecting and quantifying substances in biological and non-biological matrices, contributing significantly to forensic science methodology and drug analysis protocols.

Her publication record demonstrates mastery of sophisticated analytical techniques including UPLC-TOF-MS, GC-MS, and other advanced methods for forensic drug identification.
