Ira Torresi

Ira Torresi is an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna's Department of Interpretation and Translation since 2015. She coordinates the Master's Degree in Interpretation and participates in the PhD program in Translation, Interpreting, and Intercultural Studies. She serves on the editorial board of mediAzioni.

Her research focuses on translation (with emphasis on James Joyce's Ulysses and advertising involving visual/gender/cultural aspects) and interpreting (particularly Child Language Brokering). She teaches courses related to translation and interpretation theory and practice.

Office hours until April 2025: Mondays 11:00-12:00 in Studio 10 of DITlab. After this period, appointments require email coordination.
