Ioulia Papageorgi

Professor Ioulia Papageorgi is a faculty member at the University of Nicosia, serving as Professor in the Department of Social Sciences and Associate Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds Chartered Psychologist status from the British Psychological Society. Her roles include membership in the Cyprus National Bioethics Committee and leadership in organizations like the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA).

Her research focuses on music performance anxiety, test anxiety, psychometrics, and educational psychology. Key interests include the psychology of performance, cognitive development linked to music training, and teaching methodologies in psychology. She has contributed to evaluations of national educational programs like the UK’s Sing Up initiative and authored/co-edited works such as Advanced Musical Performance: Investigations in Higher Education Learning.
