Ion Garate Aramberri

Ion Garate Aramberri is a Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Sherbrooke, specializing in condensed matter physics with a focus on topological materials, topological insulators, magnetism, and superconductivity.

His educational background includes a Master of Science in Physics from the University of the Basque Country (2003) and a Ph.D. in Solid State Theory from the University of Texas at Austin (2009). He held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of British Columbia (as a Canadian Institute for Advanced Research Fellow, 2009-2011) and at Yale University (2011-2013).

Professor Garate Aramberri is affiliated with the Centre de recherche sur les matériaux quantiques (CRMQ) and leads the Quantum Information Physics Research Group.
