Inês Isidro

Inês Isidro is a Researcher at the Institute for Biotechnology and Bioengineering (iBET) and Head of the Biosystems and Data Science Group, established in 2021. Her research integrates data science, machine learning, and systems biology to solve complex problems in biological systems, with specific focus on cell and gene therapy bioprocesses, precision medicine, and data-driven drug discovery.

• PhD in Bioengineering Systems, MIT-Portugal Program (2015)

Her work combines mechanistic modeling and omics data integration to develop tailored strategies for bioprocess optimization, including a biotech startup (MediaOmics) for culture media customization. She collaborates with multiple teams and external partners at iBET.
