Inês Gregório

Inês Gregório is an Invited Assistant Professor at the Institute for Political Studies (IEP) of Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), where she also serves as Executive Coordinator of the Research Centre of the Institute for Political Studies (CIEP-UCP), overseeing ongoing research projects. Her academic background includes a PhD in Political Science and International Relations, an MA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of York, and a BA in International Relations from IEP-UCP.

Her research focuses on education policies and strategies, political economy, and civic education. Notable contributions include analyzing Portugal’s civic education frameworks, the role of religion in economic freedom, and historical scholastic influences on Catholic social teaching. She has taught modules such as Democracy, Public Choice, Law and Economics and Global Political Economy, reflecting her interdisciplinary expertise.

Gregório previously served as a correspondent in Portugal for the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Iberian office (2013–2016). Her work bridges theoretical insights with practical policy analysis, culminating in publications that address both domestic and international education challenges. She actively contributes to postgraduate programs in Governance, Leadership, and Democracy Studies at IEP-UCP.
