Inés Aguinaga Ontoso

Dr. Inés Aguinaga Ontoso is a Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at the Public University of Navarra, Spain. She serves as Principal Investigator for multiple research projects and is actively involved in two doctoral programs: the Doctoral Program in Health Sciences and the Global Health Doctoral Program focusing on Human, Animal, and Environmental Health Determinants.

Her research interests span epidemiology, public health, vaccination coverage, allergic diseases, asthma, maternal and child health, and chronic disease epidemiology. Dr. Aguinaga Ontoso has published extensively across these domains, with particular focus on vaccine coverage trends during the pandemic, allergic diseases in children, cardiovascular risk factors in schizophrenia patients, and the relationship between physical activity and environmental factors.

Her publications reveal a consistent focus on population health studies across Europe, the Americas, and Africa, often utilizing large-scale epidemiological approaches and international collaborations. Recent work has particularly emphasized the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on vaccination programs, health disparities, and chronic disease management.
