Inna Paiva is the Vice-Dean of Iscte Business School and an Assistant Professor at ISCTE-IUL. Her research focuses on corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability reporting, corporate governance, and financial accounting. She actively contributes to academic discourse through presentations at international conferences and publications across multiple disciplines.
Her work examines topics such as earnings management in family vs. non-family firms, smart city development in Europe and Brazil, and CSR practices in Portuguese municipalities and Angolan government entities. She teaches in master’s programs and executive education courses related to financial accounting and business reporting. Her research bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications, addressing challenges in public sector transparency, third-sector accounting practices, and digital tools for sustainability reporting in tourism and sports organizations.
Notable themes in her publications include the interplay between governance structures and financial reporting quality, the role of sustainability strategies in social economy entities, and the impact of contingency factors on urban development.
