Inmaculada Sureda García

Dr. Inmaculada Sureda García is a Full Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), specializing in Developmental and Educational Psychology since 2000. She teaches Socio-Emotional Development in Early Childhood Education programs across multiple campuses, Educational Psychology in the Psychology program, and courses on addressing emotional and behavioral difficulties in graduate programs.

She earned her PhD in Psychopedagogy in 1997 and has established herself as a leading researcher in childhood and adolescent socio-emotional development. Her work particularly focuses on peer rejection phenomena and bullying dynamics, with significant contributions to understanding emotional competencies in educational contexts.

Dr. Sureda García has been recognized with two six-year research periods (sexenios de investigación), a prestigious evaluation in the Spanish academic system that certifies sustained research excellence.
