Ingunn Skjesol is an Associate Professor of Social Sciences and Group Leader for the Health and Community Participation Group at Nord University’s Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Nord Trøndelag University College, a master’s in Disability and Society from NTNU, and a Ph.D. in Social Science (Social Work specialization) from NTNU.
Her research focuses on family support services, interdisciplinary collaboration in health and welfare systems, municipal governance, and collective learning processes. She actively participates in research groups such as Mental Health and Quality of Life and Social Sustainability, and collaborates on projects like Together for the Growing Up Community (parent-student involvement) and Young in Namdalen (youth opportunities).
