Ingrid Witte is a University Lecturer in Social Work at the Department of Behavioral, Social, and Legal Sciences, Örebro University. She also teaches in the Occupational Therapy and Audiology programs. Her research focuses on gender perspectives in Supported Employment and vocational rehabilitation for individuals with mental, neuropsychiatric, or intellectual disabilities. She holds a PhD in Disability Science (Disability and Society) and a master’s degree in Disability Research.
Education: Master's in Disability Research; PhD in Disability Science (Disability and Society).
Research Interests: Disability Studies, Vocational Rehabilitation, Gender Studies, Intersectionality, Mental Health Employment, and Employment Policy. Her work explores how gender and social structures influence access to, and outcomes of, vocational rehabilitation programs.
Publications: Recent work includes analyses of gender differences in Supported Employment processes, intersectional employment outcomes, and factors affecting satisfaction in youth rehabilitation services. Her 2024 doctoral thesis examines gender’s role in Supported Employment access and outcomes.
