Ingrid Span

Ingrid Span is a Professor of Bioinorganic Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). Her research group investigates the chemistry of biocatalysts, focusing on sustainable energy production, bioremediation, and strategies to combat bacterial/viral infections. The team employs multidisciplinary approaches spanning molecular biology, spectroscopy, and macromolecular crystallography.
