Inger Askehave

Inger Askehave is Deputy President of Copenhagen Business School (CBS) since 2021 and holds a concurrent professorship in Professional Communication at Aalborg University. She has served as Pro-rector at Aalborg University (2010–2021) and previously as Head of Department (2006–2010). Her leadership roles include interim President of CBS (2021–2022 and 2024) and extensive board memberships in education and cultural institutions.

Educated at Aarhus School of Business (PhD, 1998) and Aalborg University (Master’s in Language & International Relations, 1992), her research focuses on business communication, intercultural dynamics, and gender issues in management. Key areas include leadership discourse in job advertisements, patient communication clarity, and cross-border organizational culture. Her work bridges theoretical communication studies with practical professional contexts.

Publications highlight innovative approaches to disciplinary communication challenges, such as improving patient information leaflets and analyzing gender biases in leadership recruitment.
